Lesemann to Speak on NC Tax Modernization at LKN Chamber July 19th

Lesemann CPA, PLLC’s Managing Member, J. A. (Jay) Lesemann, Jr. CPA CGMA will be speaking at the Lake Norman Chamber of Commerce on July 19, 2013.  The topic will be:

NC Tax Modernization – Friend or Foe???

Jay will be covering a multitude of areas including:

• When, why and how the tax modernization initiative started
• Who is affected and will it really be easier?
• Tax on services – is this applicable to everyone or just a few?
• Tax on out of pocket medical costs?
• Franchise taxes – did they break their promise?
• 2% conveyance fees on real estate?
• What about the NC small business owner $50,000 deduction?

Jay will also be reviewing the latest updates and changes from our state legislature.  If a bill has been passed, he will cover the tax changes in the new law.
